Catalyst2 funding seminar
Time : 9am - 12.30pm
Place : Darlington Football Club

Small and medium-sized businesses in the region are urged to attend one of six free seminars to find out how they can access funding for IT and e-business projects through the recently launched Catalyst2 funding initiative.

The six seminars will take place throughout the region and provide businesses with the opportunity to apply for the funding, which offers 50% towards the costs up to a maximum of £2,000.

Project manager Maria Humphreys said: “Last year we assisted over 440 businesses across the region and we successfully part-funded over 80 businesses in actually adopting IT through the Catalyst Pilot Project.

“This time round, we’re aiming to provide support and assistance to a further 650 businesses.

“The feedback from those we helped last year has been tremendous and we’re eager to take the Catalyst offer to as many businesses in the region as possible.”

Catalyst2 is managed by the North East Regional Portal (TNERP) and supported by One NorthEast. It is expected to run until March 2008.

The free seminars will take place across the region:

Tuesday 6 February at St James’ Park, Newcastle.
Wednesday 7 February at Langley Castle, Haydon Bridge.
Thursday 8 February at Berwick RFC, Northumberland.
Monday 5 March at Durham County Cricket Club.
Tuesday 6 March at Darlington Football Club.
Wednesday 7 March at Wynyard Rooms at Billingham.

Demand is expected to be high and it is recommended that places are confirmed by either calling 0191 4872002 or emailing info@n-e-life.co.uk.

Hope this helps.
Mark

I attended the seminar yesterday and was informative.

There are 2 application days.
March 2nd For North Of Region and
March 27th For South of region.

There will be a meet the service provider day on at 17th March Darlington Football Club.

In order to recieve 50% funding you must provide your 50% up front to Catalyst2. Who will use this to pay the service provider.

Service can only be provided by those on their service provider list. (I am working on becomming one of these providers as a SEO Specialist).

There aill be a huge demand for this funding as it really is a case of first come first served for most commerce or IT projects.
this money does not cover hardware, just services, to help you get more from your web pressence.

For more detailed information visit here www.n-e-life-catalyst2.co.uk the official website.

Hope this helps.

Drop me a PM, if you want some more info.
