For those of you within traveling distance of Billingham, there is an excellent event occuring on the 14th March called Going For Gold.
It consists of up to 12 mini seminars on different subjects and a special key note address by James Cracknell OBE, Olympic Gold Medal Rower.

Sublects include
Creating IMPACT
Achieving Customer Satisfaction
Perform To Win
Saving Money By Reducing Waste
Become Fit To Compete
Change Is Inevitable
Motivate Your Team Etc.

This is a free event run by Business Link and is free, in fact even a buffet lunch is thrown in. You can find out more at this address www.goingforgold07.co.uk . Or ring 0191 2815777

Unfortunatly I may not be there, as I may be delivering a SEO workshop of my own but a collegue of mine, Julian will be, so if you bump into him, tell him you are a member of the networking club and say hello.

I found Going For Gold a great event, in fact the best of its kind I have been to. I found both Nigel and James very motivational and many would page a large sum to see what we got for free.
Here is the beginning of Nigels newsletter he sent out today.

Good Morning
What a week.
The sunshine has been outstanding.
The weather allowed me to have the adventure of a great helicopter ride, then get a driver to take me to the City (all i needed was a box of Milk Tray).

This week I had the opportunity to work with an amazing athlete.
He has won two gold medals at the olympics
But it was the simple messages he shared that I want to share with you.

Make sure your worst is better than their best.
Crank it up-every stroke has to be bigger than the last.
If you can stand up and get silver, you didn't do enough to get gold.

Each week I will explain what they mean.

If you can stand up and get silver, you didn't do enough to get gold.
This might seem harsh, but what it really means is you didn't give it everything you had
How often have we all said "If only"?
In the last 21 days have you really given your all
Too often I hear people saying I wanted to leave a little in reserve.
In the next 21 days see what happens if you give 100%

Mark
